Writing for me started with an idea about story line that would wind around to what I hoped would be an unexpected conclusion. I also wanted to write a story that would be easy to read and most importantly, hook the reader. By "hook the reader" I mean that I wanted the reader to need to get to the next chapter to follow the story. This is what every writer hopes to instill in his readers I know. However, if my readers do not tell me they were hooked from the beginning to the end, then I have not done my job of providing them with a reading experience to remember. So with the purpose of hooking my reader's, I will endeavor in my future blogs to outline how I tired to get my reader's attention and hold their interest from the first page to the last.
